Photogenic Drawing

This was one of the first successful processes in which silver salts are changed into metallic silver. It was first used successfully by William Henry Fox Talbot. Most of the pictures I've seen are not strictly photographs but photograms and that is what I did. You start by coating your paper with a salt solution and letting it dry. Then you coat it with a silver nitrate solution and allow that to dry. The paper is then contact printed using an ultraviolet source(sunlight will do) and fixed in a salt solution or hypo. These pictures are not permanent and seem to darken over time.
